You’ve signed up with a copywriter but you have questions. Here’s what to expect from working with a qualified copy guru.
At Be Bold, the first step I take is to understand your story. Expect to have multiple opportunities to tell me what’s great about you. Whether you’re getting a questionnaire or talking with myself directly, at Be Bold I’m very intentional about understanding who you are, as well as your brand. If part of the process with your new copywriter doesn’t involve a “get to know you session” then keep looking. This is really intentional (not JUST because I love all my clients, which I do obviously!) so that every part of your site reflects who you are.
Another really important step is understanding how you communicate with your followers. Is your voice edgy, full of call to actions? Is it softer, very personable and warm? Do you like to tell stories or focus on stats? How you talk to your clients is a key part of YOUR brand. If your voice on Instagram is in conflict with your website, then your brand consistency will suffer. Make sure your copywriter will take the time to understand all the ways and places you are communicating with the world. This may involve a little bit of Instagram and Facebook stalking so just be prepared!
If you’re confident in who you’ve hired, revisions should be minimal. The reason being is that if they’ve taken the time to understand your story and your voice, then they’ll craft it in a way that honors that while meeting proper search engine optimization metrics and inviting your ideal client in. However, at Be Bold, I take the opportunity to ensure you are happy with any final product and this will include of course any copywriting services you may take advantage of.
Not only should this process take a huge weight off of you to suddenly become an expert in SEO and content but it should be fun. Take the time to share who you are and what is great about your brand. Then sit back, relax and wait for the perfect content.
